Co-Sponsored by the Plymouth Public Library, this event featured Linda and Darius Coombs, members of the Wampanoag Nation, whose interactive seminar was entitled “Falling Off Our Feet: The Impact of Colonization on Wampanoag People.” Attendees learned about the colonization of Americ, and more specifically, eastern Massachusetts, from the Native Americans’ perspective – radically different from the account which many of us encountered in our public school educations. Several Plymouth public school teachers were in attendance.
