CAL & Braver Angels Presents a Debate on U.S. Immigration
Debate on U.S. Immigration, sponsored by the Center for Active Living and Braver Angels with Rick Frazier, Braver Angels Debate Chair and Plymouth Resident
A Braver Angels Debate is a grassroots forum where members of the community can speak their minds and listen to others as they do the same. We come together to listen to people who may think differently from us and understand how they have come to hold their views. This Braver Angels’ “informational” debate is unlike any you have experienced. This debate focuses on understanding some of the underlying benefits and challenges of US immigration. The debate winner is the audience who gains depth and breadth of understanding on this current controversial topic. Come to learn, listen, ask questions, or share your thoughts for others to hear.
“RESOLVED: “Prosperity should be the top consideration in setting U.S. Legal Immigration criteria and quotas”
de·bate | dəˈbāt | – noun – A highly structured conversation in which people think together, listen to each other, and are curious about other ways of seeing the world.
